As someone who has always lived by the ocean, I am constantly inspired and in awe of its beauty. Spending time beachcombing and watching the waves is one of my greatest sources of joy. I am fascinated by the vastness of the big blue ocean, which covers about 70% of our world, generates 70% of the earth's oxygen, and yet is only 5% explored. Its importance to all life is immeasurable, and its diversity is truly astounding.
As an artist, I celebrate the ocean and its sea life through my large format glaze process original paintings on wood panels, which are available for purchase as are high quality prints on my Etsy shop, PiperRockStudio. In addition, I also offer wearable art inspired by the ocean, such as t-shirts and hoodies, which are perfect for those who share my love of the sea.
To give back to the ocean and support its conservation, I have committed to donating 10% of the profits from each sale to The Ocean Cleanup, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to developing and scaling technologies to remove plastic from our oceans.
